Association Study and Direct - Indirect Effects of Characters for Yield in Rice (Oryza sativa L.)

The results indicated that the seed yield per plant showed a significant positive correlation with most of traits like days to 50% flowering, height, filled grains panicle, number spikelet fertility, flag leaf width, numbers tillers plant, effective panicle length and 100 weight, representing importance these for development great yielding varieties in contrast trait sterility has been reported negative association unfilled non-significant yield. Path coefficient analysis direct effect on was recorded by traits, Number traits.
